The Catholic Institute of Theology was established in 1989 by the Auckland Diocese to serve as the centre for University level theological teaching and research as well as Continuing Faith Education.

  • Courses towards BEd and MEd (Faculty of Education, The University of Auckland)
  • Master of Religious Education and Master of Arts in Theology (Australian Catholic University)
Individual papers may also be taken for professional development or interest sake.

Certificates are module-based - you can take one or more modules to meet specific needs, or complete a Certificate as part of your professional development.

The Institute is sited in Newman Hall, next to the city campus of The University of Auckland, allowing full integration into the life and facilities of the University.
