Certificate in Leadership In a Catholic School
This certificate is designed for people in leadership or aspiring to leadership in Catholic integrated schools. It requires 80 hours of guided study, comprising attendance at seven modules, and either 757.h Professional Project or 757.i Reading Project , and a total of 40 non-contact hours for personal study and eight assignments. Please note that registration for these modules may be made online.

The following modules are offered for the Certificate in Leadership in a Catholic School. The Certificate may be begun at any stage, or modules can be taken on their own for interest.

249 Maori Theology & Spirituality

This module will introduce participants, through interaction and experience, to the basic concepts of Maori theology and spirituality.

This module will explore issues relating to the dynamics of leadership and the vision of a Catholic school.

757.a LCS: Catholic Character 2

This module will explore issues relating to the vision of a good Catholic school and principles of Catholic character.

757.b LCS: Pastoral Care

An exploration of Pastoral Care in today's context, developing an understanding of the Spirituality of Pastoral Care and its implications for leadership.

This module is not offered in 2010.

757.c LCS: Leadership Styles 1

An investigation into shared leadership approach in the gospels and how that is demonstrated in Catholic Schools today.

Note - Leadership Styles 1 and 2 are being offered as one course on successive days in 2010
